History

Mario’s Landing Inc., located on the Vermilion River, originated in a swampy area that has developed into one of the finest family marinas on the river.

In 1974, Mario, with the help of his wife and five sons and five daughters, began his venture on the river front of this acreage.  Soon enough other boaters, mainly fishermen, asked for dock space, and the family decided to dredge and create a lagoon through the center of the property.  There are more than fifty steel floating docks that accommodate over 100 boats.  Soon after that, the boys and Mario ran water and electricity to the dock sites.  Throughout the years, the family decided to leave as many trees and as much grass for enjoyment during family picnics and summer fun.

In l995, an in-ground pool was built to celebrate June’s 70^th birthday.  Of course, all are invited to enjoy the sun and water in the pool area.
